BREAKING: Escaped Prisoner Richard Matt Possibly Fatally Shot By Police

Areas in Northern New York including Franklin County were the focus of the search for Richard Matt and David Sweat and now multiple sources confirm that escaped prisoner Richard Scott has been shot and killed by police.

Boston's News Leader WCVB says:

Sweat and Matt broke out of the prison June 6. Authorities say they cut through the steel wall at the back of their cells, scaled down a catwalk, broke through a brick wall, cut their way into and out of a steam pipe and then emerged from a manhole outside the prison.
