The Taste of Buffalo is the country's largest two-day food festival and is rapidly approaching. This year some new features (along with 13 NEW restaurants participating) will have you staying at the annual event even longer, and probably investing in some additional elastic-waist pants. We've got some things you should know before you head to this weekend's festivities! Check them out and we hope to see you there:

  • 10 Shade Spaces throughout the festival, so you can duck out of the sun and hang at cocktail tables.
  • Free trays to help you carry your food easily. Two Independent Health tents will have them, both near the Chippewa Street ticket tent and the Court Street ticket tent, while supplies last.
  • Live music in the Niagara East Beer Tent until 11 p.m. on Saturday with samples of Lays Stax's while supplies last.
  • The inside ring of Niagara Square will have games, giveaways, photos, free samples and more.
  • Walk through the big Chef arch to check out the Culinary Stage in the New Era parking lot.

2015 Taste of Buffalo Chair Laura Jacobs stopped by to share what's new this year at the festival.

This year's poster was created by 11th grader Charlea Zackey from Empire Home School Group.

Don't forget, Keith and I will be serving as judges this year. So be on the lookout for our discerning eye and plump palates!
