We all know that Buffalo is the City of Good Neighbors and one local bakery is looking to honor people who go up and beyond to help out others across Western New York.

The owners of Chrusciki Bakery has teamed up with local Non-profit Hope Rises to honor everyday people whose act of kindness has helped out a fellow Western New York.

The Chrusciki Champions was launched in May and so far the local bakery has honored local NFTA Authority police Officers Massey, Detective Paladino, and Captain Loubert who went beyond the call of duty to help find a stolen giraffe stuffie for a 7-year-old from Orchard Park.

In June, Samantha, a teen from Amherst was honored for utilizing her kindness to start a critical mental health program at her high school.

The Chrusciki Champions is open to anyone who is giving back to the Western New York community and beyond. You can nominate someone you know or even yourself HERE.

In a press release, the owner of Chrusciki Bakery, Ania Duchon, said that they wanted to make sure people who are doing good things get the recognition that they deserve.

“This campaign is an effort to put these everyday heroes in the spotlight as a way to recognize and honor, but also to inspire those who hear about their stories because the more we spread kindness, the better our community becomes.”
