Fall is here and that means Fall Allergy season is here as well, and it looks like this Fall will be one of the worst years for allergies across New York.

Looking ahead at what we can expect, it looks like we are expecting above above-normal amount of allergens, which means a lot more sneezing, coughing, and watery eyes than normal.


WHAT ARE FALL ALLGERIES?

Fall Allergies are an allergic reaction to your environment that can cause itchy, watery eyes, sneezing, and other similar symptoms.

WHAT CAUSES FALL ALLGERIES?

There are many different answers, but the biggest three issues are ragweed, mold, and dust mites. Ragweed starts pollinating in late summer and can continue through September or October. Mold and dust mites cause more of a reaction because people are inside more during fall than in summer or spring.

HOW CAN I PREVENT OR LIMIT FALL ALLERGIES?

Try to Stay indoors if possible when pollen is at its peak from late morning to midday. Keep your indoor air clean by changing your air filters. Check the pollen count before
you head out.
