When you hear news about a locally owned bar and restaurant closing, you become a little nervous at first.

Why are they closing? Is it permanent? Are they short staffed?

Thankfully, this old school restaurant and bar will only be closed temporarily, and there’s a reason why.

Vault 237 is a restaurant and bar located on Main Street. They opened their doors at the end of March earlier this year with a prohibition-themed spin on their design, and they recently announced an unplanned pause in their operations.

Why Are They Closing?

Since Vault 237 makes their home in an old building, that means that on occasion, they will have to face some revitalizing challenges. That means that they may have to do some construction or interior work to ensure that they are able to use the modernized equipment safely.

Vault 237 plans to “address mechanical issues in the kitchen, changes to the space and operations, and resolve other challenges that were identified during [the] first three months of operation,” they wrote on their website.

When Will They Reopen?

While the closing is temporary, it is unclear at this time when Vault 237 will reopen for business.

However, they do plan to open as soon as possible.

Vault 237 included a statement on their official website:

“We regret the impact this pause will have on our employees, our suppliers, and any guests who may be inconvenienced.”

Once you finally get accustomed to a place, it proves to be challenging when there is a brick thrown into your routine, but hopefully you can get back to Vault 237 in no time!
