Frito Lay announced a huge recall for one of its Tostitos products. There is a major allergen that is not listed on the label, which could pose a threat to people with an allergy. The company issued the recall on Friday, June 16, 2023, according to the Food and Drug Administration. With it being cookout season, many consumers may have purchased this product to serve.

The 15 oz. Tostitos Avocado Salsa Jar Dips contain milk, which is considered an allergen. Anyone with an allergy or sensitivity to milk could potentially suffer a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. The jars are mislabeled with another product's label on the back. The product that the label is from does not contain milk, so it isn't listed (see photo below).

The product at the center of the recall:

If you have purchased this dip and have an allergy or sensitivity to milk, you should throw the product away or return it to the store where you purchased it.
