Are New Yorkers really lazy? We've always been told that New Yorkers are go-getters, but maybe that's not true anymore. WalletHub released a study of the hardest-working states in 2023 and New Yorkers may be shocked by where we landed on the list.

To determine where Americans work the hardest, WalletHub compared the 50 states across 10 key indicators. They range from average workweek hours to share of workers with multiple jobs to annual volunteer hours per resident.

Before we get to New York, let's take a look at the state WalletHub says is the hardest-working. Topping the list of hardest-working states in North Dakota. I'm going to be a hater for a second, but it seems like most of the states in the top 10 are the most BORING states in America.

The only state where people are lazier than New Yorkers is:

New York actually moved from #48 in 2022 to #49 in 2023, meaning we got even more lazy!
